Job Description

Job Summary

This position will work closely with the business and IT teams and will be responsible for writing business and functional requirements, with key focus placed on ensuring deliverables meet business expectations. The IT efforts will need to maintain alignment with business needs and/or initiatives, and IT projects are executed in a consistent manner with utmost quality. The Sr. Business Analyst must understand business methodologies and continually ensure that there is integration and alignment between the organization and IT department. The Sr. Business Analyst (SBA) will need to understand the application development lifecycle and requires advanced analytical ability to help identify, communicate, and resolve issues.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate up-to-date expertise in Information Systems and apply this to the development, execution and improvement of

  • action plans by providing advice and guidance to others in the application of information and best practices.

  • Create business requirement documents to clearly state the needs of the business for any given project or initiative.

  • Collaborate effectively with various teams to assist in problem resolutions and project scope changes, while ensuring

  • consistent alignment with the defined business need.

  • Works closely with Project Management teams to analyze post-implementation project results and assist in identifying

  • opportunities for improvement.

  • Document business application process flows; identifies and recommends improvement opportunities.

  • Participate in Integration Testing, User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and Functional Testing, when called upon, to facilitate

  • efficient delivery of IT projects.

  • Ensures quality assurance processes are consistently applied and that they provide an effective means of delivering

  • consistent, reliable solutions.

  • Identify, report on, and recommend solutions for improvements to quality issues, user experiences, and IT and/or business

  • processes.

  • Approach situations by considering them from different points of view; resists using the same thought process or making

  • assumptions based on past experience.

  • Demonstrate patience and self-control under difficult or adverse circumstances.

  • Create a network of technology and business experts; seek/create opportunities to meet with a wide range of internal and

  • external constituencies for the purpose of creating open, two-way communication concerning business issues.

  • Assure that all IT efforts tie to the needs of the business and/or end customer.

  • Articulate strengths and weaknesses associated with using alternative architecture solutions.

  • Use insights gained from handling challenging situations to recommend improvements to procedures, workflow, or product

  • design.

  • Anticipate customer needs/requirements to ensure that IT provides ongoing value while taking proactive steps to ensure that

  • customer problems are managed and solved in a timely manner.

  • Examine business processes to identify those that could be eliminated, automated, or made more effective through the use

  • of technology.

  • All other duties assigned

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field required.

  • 10+ years of experience as a Functional, Data, or Business Analyst with project oversight and business support preferred.

  • Finance and Supply Chain experience is required.

  • Microsoft Dynamics 365 and JDE experience a plus.

  • Strong analytical ability. o Ability to multi-task and manage multiple priorities in a deadline driven environment while remaining organized. o Must be self-motivated and detail oriented.

  • Independent judgement is required to plan, prioritize, organize and accomplish diversified work objectives.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Excellent external and internal customer service skills.

  • Quality Management – Looks for ways to improve and promote quality, demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness both internally and externally.
