Journeyman Millwright - Industrial Mechanic

Motion Canada is currently recruiting for a Journeyman Millwright with extensive hydraulic and mechanical experience in their service shop in Prince George, BC.

Working in the repair and machine shop, the candidate will be primarily involved in the repairing and maintenance of hydraulic and mechanical components. This exciting and challenging position will report into the Shop Foreman. The position may also require off-site troubleshooting and mechanical repairs in the field.

REQUIREMENTS:

Minimum 3-5 years of shop experience in rebuilding hydraulic components (pumps, motors, cylinders, valves, etc.) and mechanical components (gear reducers, process pumps, blowers, fluid couplings, clutches, etc.)

Asset Repair experience preferred

Journeyman or equivalent trade certification (i.e. Millwright/Industrial Mechanic/Heavy Duty Mechanic)

Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written

Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics

Detail oriented with ability to work independently

Basic computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook

Strong planning and organizational skills

A complete basic set of tools required

Ability to multitask in a dynamic environment

Team player coupled with solid troubleshooting skills

Ability to assess and estimate times for rebuild work

Must be in great physical condition

Possess a valid driver's license

Forklift license preferred

Basic manual machining skills are an asset

Basic welding skills are an asset

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, we are excited to share that the base pay range for this position is $26.52 - $34.48 annually/hourly. Please keep in mind that this range is the base pay only and does not consider other components that make up the total rewards package for the position. If you are hired at Motion, your overall compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, and/or experience which may result in total compensation outside of this range.
