Role Purpose

Responsible for ensuring that set inventory tasks are completed to high standard and in a timely manner. Ensuring close attention to detail is paid to avoid delays or extra handling to be required by other Distribution Centre departments. Initial point of escalation for team members when inventory related issues occur on the Distribution Centre floor across various departments. Responsible for resolving minor inventory issues– any issue that does not require further investigation to find root cause.

Key Responsibilities and Challenges:

  • Efficient Shipment Checks: Ensure all incoming shipments are checked within 24 hours to minimize delays and keep operations running smoothly.
  • Timely Communication: Respond promptly to all messages and chats within 24 hours to maintain clear and effective communication.
  • Daily Inventory Management: Create and manage daily cycle counts based on workload to keep inventory accurate and up to date.
  • Optimize Product Placement: Collaborate with the Inventory team to ensure products are stored in the most efficient locations for smooth operations and as per safe storage handling requirements.
  • Problem Solving: Investigate and resolve issues quickly, identifying the root cause and providing timely updates to the Inventory Management team.
  • Excel and Data Skills: Confidently work with data in Excel and perform quick, accurate data entry into the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
  • Process Improvement: Develop a strong understanding of how the Distribution Centre operates to help improve processes and reduce the impact on other teams.

  • Team Player: You’re not afraid to roll up your sleeves and help out in different areas of the Distribution Centre when needed.
