The Role
CRAM is a leading provider of engineering, maintenance, and repair services, specializing in hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical solutions. As the Workshop Manager, you will be responsible for the efficient and effective management of our workshop operations. You will lead a team of skilled tradespeople, ensure projects are delivered on time and to the highest standards, and maintain a safe and productive work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the workshop, ensuring efficiency and productivity.
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of tradespeople, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
- Plan, schedule, and allocate resources to meet project deadlines and client requirements.
- Ensure all work is completed to the highest quality and safety standards, adhering to company policies and procedures.
- Monitor and manage workshop budgets, costs, and inventory levels.
- Liaise with clients, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to ensure clear communication and excellent service delivery.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance workshop performance and efficiency.
- Maintain compliance with workplace health and safety regulations.
Key Qualifications and Experience:
- Previous experience in a similar Workshop Manager or leadership role, preferably in the industrial or engineering sector.
- Strong technical knowledge of hydraulic, mechanical, or electrical systems (preferred but not essential).
- Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire others.
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills, with a focus on delivering results.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with clients and team members.
- A commitment to workplace health and safety practices.
- Relevant trade qualifications or technical certifications (highly desirable).
