Drive customer service satisfaction, profitability, & sales through actionable insights, while supporting broader Price Management operations, including assistance to the Price Administrator. Rowville or Wellington location.
Responsibilities include:
- Ensuring promotional pricing aligns with group-level objectives, enhancing promo accuracy & system readiness.
- Post-preparation by the Promo Planners validates promotional accuracy (SKUs, pricing, discounts) through a downstream lens across channels (in-store, online, catalogues), ensuring alignment with POS systems, e-commerce platforms, approved Retail/Trade marketing plans, and store execution needs.
- Assess compliance of promotions with company policies, advertising standards, and legal regulations as a distinct step beyond upstream planning, ensuring clear communication of terms to customers.
- Support testing of promotional requirements and system enhancements (POS, e-commerce) before launch, confirming functionality, preventing conflicts (e.g., overlapping discounts), and ensuring accurate implementation.
- Drive continuous improvement by providing actionable feedback to Promo Planners to enhance Offer Builder processes, using tools like Excel, SQL, and visualization software for data analysis.
- Address promotional issues reported by the network via the inbox, investigating discrepancies, liaising with stakeholders (Marketing, Operations, Customer Service, Digital), and resolving errors promptly to ensure a seamless customer experience.
- Monitor the effectiveness of promotions by analysing sales data, tracking performance metrics (e.g., redemption rates, revenue impact, cannibalization), and reporting anomalies or optimization opportunities to stakeholders.
- Assist the Price Administrator with promotional-related tasks, covering duties during leave without overlap in core responsibilities, and support Price Management operations with occasional analytical duties (e.g., ad-hoc data analysis for promo insights).
- Adhere strictly to OH&S policies and company codes, including the Code of Conduct and Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) requirements.
- Understand and demonstrate behaviour in accordance with all Company policies and procedures, including Code of Conduct, Discrimination, Bullying, and EEO, and all applicable laws while ensuring continual compliance with relevant legislation relevant to the role, including OHS. All other tasks as directed by Manager.
All about you:
- 1-2 years’ experience in a pricing role with promotional pricing experience preferred
- Analytical mindset with the ability to analyse promotional data, identify errors & provide actionable insights to enhance accuracy and performance.
- Proficient in Excel, SQL, and visualisation software (eg. Tableau, Power BI) for data analysis,
- High attention to detail & problem-solving skills to manage complex promotional settings, compliance, and issue resolution.
- Strong stakeholder management & collaboration skills with the ability to work across regions (AU & NZ) and functions (Merchandise, Operations, Digital)
- Bachelor’s degree in business, economics, or a related field desirable; certification in pricing or analytics a plus.
