Reporting to the GM - Group GP&A, this role will work closely with the EGM Finance of Automotive Division and key Automotive division stakeholders, in providing strategic financial insights and supporting decision-making processes.
The FP&A Manager – Automotive Division will be responsible for leading and overseeing the financial planning and analysis function for Automotive Division of GPC Asia Pacific, working at a divisional level and multiple lines of businesses.
The successful candidate will build and lead FP&A team, providing insightful financial and commercial analysis and advice, including the annual budget and strategic planning processes, monthly forecast process, as well as preparation of the monthly financial results reporting suite.
The role:
- Build and lead a high-performing Automotive Division FP&A team.
- Mentor and develop team members to enhance their skills and capabilities, fostering a collaborative and results-driven environment.
- Serves as the conduit between Automotive Division, Group FP&A team and Atlanta FP&A team (where required) to ensure Group planning & reporting requirements are met on a timely basis.
- Enhance & streamline the forecasting process using sophisticated data and analytics techniques, to drive continual improvement in forecast accuracy.
- Lead the annual budgeting and long-range forecast process, encompassing identification of key initiatives and investment requirements, aligned to Group budgeting instructions around timelines and deliverables.
- Lead and oversee the preparation and analysis of monthly and quarterly financial reports for the Division for key stakeholder groups including executive management and the Board (where required), ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Provide insightful analysis and commentary regarding performance, working capital, CAPEX and cashflow, and other key financial measures.
- Analyse financial results, identify trends, and provide actionable insights to divisional and regional leadership.
- Develop strong relationships with the wider Finance teams to enable accurate and insightful commentary on commercial drivers behind the results.
- Co-ordinate and report on Quarterly Objectives & Key Results (OKRs) for Key Initiatives across the Division.
- Support GM – Group FP&A in analysing, budgeting and forecasting group office costs.
- Act as a key liaison between the divisional commercial finance team and Group finance counterparts, ensuring consistency in financial reporting and analysis.
- Promote GPCAP’s organisational values, standards and policies and facilitate effectiveness through empowering, motivating and developing staff within a work environment that promotes diversity, trust and respect.
About you:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field. A relevant professional certification (e.g., CPA, CFA) is preferred.
- Minimum of 6 - 8 years of experience in financial planning and analysis.
- Experience working in a multinational organization with a focus on the Asia Pacific region.
- High self-awareness, humility, emotional intelligence and capacity to build trust and confidence with others.
- Balance competing needs and interests – the ability to assess the needs and interests of multiple stakeholders and determine a balanced and optimal course of action.
- Strong business, finance, and commercial acumen with exceptional ability to synthesise, analyse and interpret complex data to provide timely and useful insights.
- Strong understanding of financial modelling, forecasting, and budgeting processes.
- Excellent attention to detail, analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking skills.
- Strong leadership and team management capability, with experience in building and developing high-performing teams.
- Ability to operate independently and collaboratively, and maintain standards and clarity, in a fast-paced environment of conflicting needs, priorities and commercial pressure.
- Ability to perform effectively under tight timelines in a highly dynamic environment.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
- Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems (TM1 and D365 preferred) and advanced Excel skills.
