About the role:
The Business Development & Purchasing Manager is responsible for managing all aspects of Sulco’s purchasing and international shipping processes. This role collaborates with internal teams and external vendors to ensure stock availability, cost efficiency, and timely delivery, contributing directly to the achievement of Sulco’s vision and strategic goals.
Our Business Development Purchasing Managers are experts who:
Drive operational excellence by managing purchasing, logistics, vendor relationships, and system processes to support product availability and customer satisfaction. They:
- Administer overseas and local purchasing processes.
- Manage stock replacement and lead time modelling.
- Conduct purchasing with overseas vendors and communicate with Finance on foreign exchange.
- Collaborate with international carriers and manage shipping logistics.
- Maintain and enhance Sulco/GPC system knowledge for accurate recordkeeping.
- Build and maintain effective relationships internally across GPC and externally with vendors.
- Continuously seek improvement in quality, accuracy, and customer service.
