About the role:

Reporting to the Merchandise Manager, you will provide support to the Category Team in the growth and profitability of the category, whilst having a strong focus on administrative processes. Furthermore, you will assist in the development and implementation of category plans for National Trade Promotions, Catalogues, Flyers, and other Trade Events.

Key Responsibility Areas:

You will be supporting the Category Planning in the overall governance of Trade and Retail promotional activities and events. Support all members of the Automotive Merchandise team with promotional planning, systems maintenance, catalogue activities and help administer processes, along with:

  • Assist in developing and arranging yearly planner, Promotional Advice Sheet (PAS) set up and general communication regarding Trade and Retail promotional activities.
  • Assist the Automotive Merchandise team in creating publications including catalogue layout and product space allocation, as well as relevant Marketing data in the PAS for Trade catalogues. For Retail catalogues, upload the requested offers into the inhouse system (Offer Builder)
  • Follow-up the category team to ensure all required work has been completed correctly.
  • Review of catalogue proofs as required by the Automotive Merchandise team.
  • Assist in data generation, publication proofing, supplier promotional tracking and reporting.

  • Previous administrative experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Intermediate Microsoft suite capabilities including PowerPoint, Excel and Word
  • Team player who takes pride in their work and the team’s success
  • Detail focus and deadline driven
  • Ability to develop strong business relationships
  • Self-motivator, who is highly adaptable to changing business requirements.
