Position Purpose

This role will function as a UX Writer for one more digital enterprise products.  Working with a highly talented team, you'll play a key role to set the voice and tone of the applications for the customer of the world’s largest automotive and industrial replacement parts distribution companies. 


Key Responsibilities

Content Creation & Optimization

  • Craft concise, clear microcopy for UI elements including buttons, error messages, tooltips, forms, and notifications

  • Develop engaging onboarding flows, product tours, and in-app guidance

  • Write help documentation that simplifies complex processes

  • Collaborate on marketing copy that aligns with the product experience

  • Conduct A/B testing to optimize content for user engagement and conversion

Product Language System Development

  • Create and maintain a comprehensive product lexicon/glossary that standardizes terminology across the entire platform

  • Develop a robust content style guide defining voice, tone, terminology, and grammar rules

  • Establish consistent writing patterns and templates for recurring UI elements

  • Build scalable content frameworks that promote product learnability and ease of use

  • Document naming conventions for features, actions, and UI components

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with UX designers to integrate copy seamlessly with visual design

  • Work alongside product managers to align content with product strategy and user needs

  • Coordinate with developers to implement copy in a technically feasible way

  • Collaborate with marketing and customer success teams to ensure consistent messaging across all touchpoints

  • Participate in design critiques and product planning sessions

Research & Iterative Improvement

  • Conduct content audits to identify inconsistencies and areas for improvement

  • Analyze user feedback and support tickets to identify content-related pain points

  • Research industry terminology and user expectations to inform language choices

  • Stay current on UX writing best practices and emerging patterns

  • Advocate for the user through thoughtful content decisions

Qualifications

Required

  • 3+ years of experience in UX writing, content design, or a similar role for digital products

  • Fluency in English

  • Strong portfolio demonstrating experience with microcopy, user flows, and content systems

  • Experience creating and maintaining content style guides and terminology systems

  • Excellent writing and editing skills with meticulous attention to detail

  • Understanding of UX principles and user-centered design approaches

  • Ability to explain complex concepts in simple, user-friendly language

  • Strong collaboration skills with cross-functional teams

Preferred

  • Experience writing for SaaS or B2B products

  • Familiarity with design systems and component-based design

  • Background in information architecture or content strategy

  • Experience with content management systems or design tools (Figma, Sketch)

  • Knowledge of accessibility standards and inclusive writing practices

  • Experience with localization and writing for global audiences

  • Data-driven approach to content optimization
