The NAPA Tools & Equipment Special Event Truck Driver is a specialized truck driving position responsible for operation of the Carlyle tools truck/trailer. Job duties include but not limited to responsibility for safely transporting equipment, supplies, and assisting with setup/teardown at various event locations often requiring flexibility with changing schedules, quick turnaround times, and the ability to navigate tight spaces with a large vehicle. Openness to learn and grow with the company is highly desired in this position and a willingness to take initiative is a top tier trait.
Responsibilities
·The following section contains the primary responsibilities for this position. Job holder is responsible for performing any other duties as assigned by management.
·Securely and safely loading and unloading event equipment, materials, and sound equipment onto the trailer/truck ensuring proper weight distribution and damage prevention to company equipment.
·Navigating to event sites efficiently, considering traffic condition and arrival deadlines.
·Collaborating with site/event crew to setup equipment in a timely manner while maintaining the highest level of professionalism and maintaining the cleanliness of truck/trailer and product.
·Transport and deliver freight for short or long distances in a safe, efficient, timely and legal manner.
·Maintaining clear communication with event coordinators to communicate any potential delays or specific requirements.
·Perform routine inspection and preventative maintenance on assigned equipment and document and refer defects/repairs to manager and maintenance representative.
·Ensure that all operations are following state and federal laws and regulations.
·Accurately document and log work/rest periods in company assigned ELD (Electronic Logging Device)
·Understand instructions given orally and in writing.
·Perform all duties in accordance with company policies and procedures, and comply with all federal, state, and local regulations for the secure and safe operation of a commercial motor vehicle (CMV)
·Complete all necessary paperwork including shipping and billing documents and maintain records required under state and federal laws and regulations.
·Frequently communicates with Dispatch/Operations, in person or by tablet or telephone, to advise of movements, problems with equipment, cargo, delays, etc.
·All Drivers require housekeeping, and they must maintain their truck/trailer and be in show ready condition for each event including exterior and interior of the truck/trailer.
·Represent the Company in a professional manner.

Qualifications
·Minimum of 23 years of age
·Must have and maintain a current valid commercial driver’s license.
·License must be a Class A
·At least 2 years of CDL experience preferred.
·Required 2 Years Clean MVR
·Ability to operate electronics i.e., tablets, computer & e-logs, etc.
·Preferred Qualifications
·Prior experience in a Retail store or outside sales
·2+ years of experience in a client-driven role
·Understand and demonstrate basic selling skills.
·Capability to present information in group settings

Physical Demands / Working Environment
·Driving for extended periods of time (within federal CDL driving limits)
·Daily work conducted at retail stores, customer site environments, event venues.
·Frequent periods standing/walking in unairconditioned warehouse facilities and retail stores.
·Exposed to vibrations and dust, with noise level at moderate to high decibels.
·Must be able to lift 50 pounds at times.
·Specific vision ability required by this job includes close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
·Regularly required to use hands and fingers, and handle or feel objects.
·Other physical tasks required include pushing, reaching, climbing, and stooping.
·Local travel, to include overnight travel, may be up to 80% of time.
