Support the Senior Manager of Operations Controls with adding value to the Finance Department and the company as they drive excellence in store inventory valuation assessments for GPC acquisitions of independently owned NAPA stores and competitive brand store acquisitions changing over to NAPA; and participation in other related projects and initiatives both recurring and ad hoc in nature. The Inventory Controls Analyst will accomplish their mission by understanding, adhering to, and enforcing acquisition related inventory valuation policies, processes, procedures and programs utilizing existing and new inventory analysis tools. Furthermore, the Analyst will accomplish their mission by coordinating their activities with field management, key members of NAPA Finance involved in Project Planning (CAMP) and M&A; other IT and Data/BI analyst

Responsibilities:
Create acquisition-related inventory reporting events as needed to generate inventory data used in the inventory valuation process.
Routinely coordinate with project planning team, M&A and Division Operations team to plan and prepare for upcoming store acquisition events.
Use technical ability and business knowledge to receive, transform, and verify store inventory data from the IROC database (Inventory Reconciliation & Operational Controls) from which summary inventory reporting data is derived to support:
The seller’s POS system representation of inventory replacement cost,
NAPA’s representation of the seller’s replacement cost,
NAPA’s representation of Distribution Center Net replacement cost,
Additional segregation by NAPA and non-NAPA goods,
Write-down value for NAPA inventory, which is the difference between NAPA’s representation of seller’s replacement cost and DC Net replacement cost.
Use communication skills to prepare and communicate final assessments to internal departments that consume inventory valuations related to acquisitions.
Process similar support, as required, to assess valuations of company stores being converted from Jobber Replacement cost to DC Net replacement cost.
Provide support to the New Distribution Rebate Clerk in the use of IROC as directed.
Focus on continual improvement of the inventory valuation process and systems.
Perform administrative functions to maintain access to associated inventory control data sources required to perform valuation analysis and reporting.
Perform and assist the department with performance of audit sampling and testing of inventory valuation processes as required annually by internal and external auditors.
Execute all other duties as deemed necessary by the department while maintaining adherence with company policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in business analytics with a concentration in Finance preferred.
Minimum 1 year of experience with business analysis and reporting.
Proficiency using Microsoft PowerBI and Excel Power Query, PowerPivot.
Strong verbal skills and written communication skills with demonstrated ability to communicate complex topics to a variety of experience level.
Team player; demonstrate success working well with department leaders and peers.
Must be able to understand, explain, and solve complex problems.
Must be technologically astute at learning new business technologies.
Strong detail orientation and organization.
Ability to manage time effectively, multi-task, prioritize, and work well under tight timelines.
Preferred Qualifications
Working knowledge of PeopleSoft Financials preferred.
Working knowledge of Qlik, OBIEE, nVision preferred
