Summary
The Accounts Payable Coordinator is responsible for coordinating the workflow to ensure expense invoices are processed within defined service level agreements and according to departmental guidelines/procedures
Responsibilities
• Responsible for coordinating the workflow to ensure expense invoices are processed within defined service level agreements and according to departmental guidelines/procedures
• Responsible for reporting and communicating daily volume to team & management
• Responsible for monitoring the dashboard for aged skipped, or problematic batches and resolving
• Monitors and audits production reporting to ensure accuracy
• Ensures urgent requests are processed promptly
• Research, troubleshoot, and resolve invoice issues
• Responsible for completing Excel spreadsheet uploads to PeopleSoft
• Assists as a backup for specialist duties such as recurring contracts, special allowances, direct debits, spreadsheet uploads, manual checks, and various other duties
• Works to ensure that all month-end requirements are met for A/P Close deadline
• Research, troubleshoot, and resolve issues & Service Now tickets for Expense Payables Department within defined service level agreements
• Responds to inquiries and provides excellent customer service to location personnel
• Provides training for Expense Payables Specialists including new hires, changes in policies and/or procedures, etc.
• Assists with questions and training for the offshore team
• Assists other AP team members as needed
• Additional tasks and projects as assigned by Management
Experience/Qualifications
• PeopleSoft experience preferred
• 2+ years of Accounts Payable experience preferred
• A firm understanding of basic AP and Accounting Principles
• Attention to detail and accuracy
• Excellent research and resolution skills
• Strong math aptitude and analytical ability
• Exceptional oral and written communication & customer service skills
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work on multiple assignments with competing priorities
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment as a self-motivated team member
• Demonstrates a sense of urgency and ability to meet deadlines
• Team Player
• Leadership attributes
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite
• Intermediate Excel knowledge required
Education
• High School diploma
