SUMMARY:

The Manager, Sales Effectiveness is responsible for the Motion sales effectiveness function and works collaboratively with the field sales leadership teams and other corporate functions to achieve sales excellence in the following areas: Customer Relationship Management (CRM), salesforce productivity improvement, territory management and planning, and other technology platforms tied to salesforce effectiveness.

JOB DUTIES

  • Drives the planning and rollout process of new system platforms in support of the sales organization.
  • Manages the sales planning process, including territory design, sales process improvement and customer assignments.
  • Works with HR Compensation and the field leadership teams to identify opportunities to align sales incentive compensation with sales productivity.
  • Develops Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to assist leadership in understanding sales best practices, trends and performance management opportunities to drive increased success.
  • Works with the sales teams on re-assignment of accounts to ensure proper alignment of the sales resource with the sales potential of areas and accounts.
  • Collaborates with key stakeholders in Product Management, Marketing, IT, and others to develop a centralized location where sales tools such as marketing collateral, product door openers and sales best practices can be easily accessed by field sales teams.
  • Responsible for sales reporting and analytics in support of sales initiatives and programs.
  • Tracks the performance and productivity of individual sellers and projects.
  • Supports management of user changes, development of reports, optimization updates and overall adoption with the field.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • Typically requires a bachelor's degree and seven (7) or more years of related experience or an equivalent combination.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES

  • Prior experience in a sales operations or sales finance role.
  • Well-developed capabilities in problem-solving and streamlining processes.
  • Expert ability to analyze data and organize it into useful information.
  • Strong business acumen and understanding of financial metrics related to distribution.
  • Ability to adapt, adjust and move with speed to execute on priorities.
  • Strong time and project management skills.
  • Ability to effectively collaborate with executive leadership in an open, friendly and accepting manner.
  • Ability to develop rapport, influence others and maintain strong working relationships cross-functionally.
  • Strong and professional written, verbal and presentation communication skills.
  • Proven business development success through effective use of core sales tools such as CRM.
  • Knowledge of territory design and planning, quota setting and business analytics.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Travel up to 15% of time to develop strong relationships with the Sales organization.

LICENSES  &  CERTIFICATIONS:  Prior  experience  with  Sales  Planning  &  CRM  tools preferred.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY: 2-5 Direct Reports

BUDGET RESPONSIBILITY: No
