Demand Planner Intern

Job Description
The role of a Demand Planner Intern at Motion is to help facilitate data driven decisions within the Sourcing and Inventory department. You will work closely with procurement to ensure appropriate inventory levels by helping to provide accurate and insightful reporting. Some examples of reporting include current inventory levels, historical usage amounts, forecasts, and demand trends. This internship will provide an opportunity to develop and expand your supply chain knowledge. You will also learn how to extract and organize data effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with analyzing and creating inventory reporting
  • Collaborate with buyers to understand their respective items and ordering habits
  • Develop a basic understanding of our Inventory KPIs
  • Ensure data accuracy and integrity
  • Retrieve and organize data from ERP systems
  • Utilize data visualizations to uncover insights and support decision making

Qualifications

  • College student pursuing degree in Supply Chain, Business Analytics or related field
  • Basic SQL knowledge preferred
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively
  • A willingness to learn
  • Proficient Excel skills
  • Available 10-12 weeks during the Summer
