Job Description
SUMMARY:
Under direct supervision, the Service Technician repairs, services, and builds standard and custom systems forelectrical, and mechanical systems.
JOB DUTIES
- Prepares job form listing parts and works necessary tocomplete assembly
- Designs, fabricates, machines, andassemblesparts and components.
- Assembles electrical, and mechanical systems and other related items.
- Assembles newequipment.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Build panels within specifications.
- Troubleshoot problems as necessary.
- Must wire to quality standards as set forth by Quality Manager, Production Manager, and Manufacturing Engineering.
- Perform a final inspection before transporting completed Control Panel/Assembly to Quality Department.
- Assist other employees as requested by Production Mgr. or Management (including mounting subpanels and packaging for shipping.)
- Correspond with Engineering or Management for changes/suggestions regarding work folder drawings.
- Retrieve allocated supplies from job shelf once job is assigned.
- Confer with supervisors or engineers to plan and review work activities, and to resolve production problems.
- Explain assembly procedures or techniques to other workers.
- Assist with Board Assembly and Cable Assembly
- Assist with Shipping as requested by Production Manager or other Management
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
Typically requires a high school diploma or GED.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES
- Strong communication skills required.
- Basic mechanical knowledge.
- Ability to operate shop equipment safely.
- Ability to work independently or in a team environment with minimal supervision.
- Ability to readelectricalschematics andblueprints.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Push/pull up to 100 pounds
- Lift/carry up to 100 pounds
- Lift bulky objects
- Neck rotation, trunk rotation, stair climbing, repetitive bending, kneeling, sustained squat, forward reaching, overhead reaching, reach and lift, ladder climb and carry, crawling.
- Working conditions may be indoor and/or outdoor. Noise level may be loud at times.
- Ability to work overtime and weekends.
LICENSES & CERTIFICATIONS:
- Valid Driver's License.

Pay is from $20.68 - $26.00/ hour
Please keep in mind that this range is the base pay only and does not consider other components that make up the total rewards package for the position. If you are hired at Motion, your overall compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, and/or experience which may result in total compensation outside of this range.
