As we continue to expand our reach and enhance our offerings, we are seeking a highly skilled Technical Director to lead our eCommerce development team.

Position Overview:
As the Technical Director - eCommerce Development, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the technological landscape of our company's online platforms. You will lead a team of talented developers and engineers, guiding them in the creation, implementation, and maintenance of innovative eCommerce solutions. Your strategic vision, technical expertise, and leadership will drive the development of robust, scalable, and user-centric eCommerce systems that deliver exceptional value to our customers and contribute to the overall success of the company.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership: Develop and communicate a clear technical vision and roadmap for eCommerce development aligned with business objectives and market trends.
Team Management: Lead, mentor, and inspire a multidisciplinary team of developers, engineers, and technical specialists, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
Architecture and Design: Define and implement scalable, secure, and high-performance architecture and design patterns for eCommerce platforms, ensuring optimal functionality, flexibility, and maintainability.
Technology Evaluation and Integration: Stay abreast of emerging technologies, tools, and frameworks relevant to eCommerce development, assess their suitability, and oversee their integration into existing systems.
Quality Assurance: Establish and enforce coding standards, best practices, and quality assurance processes to ensure the delivery of robust, reliable, and high-quality eCommerce solutions.
Project Management: Oversee the planning, prioritization, and execution of eCommerce development projects, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including product management, marketing, UX/UI design, and operations, to align technical initiatives with business requirements and customer needs.
Performance Optimization: Identify opportunities for performance optimization, scalability enhancement, and cost efficiency within eCommerce systems, implementing appropriate solutions to maximize effectiveness and minimize risk.
Risk Management: Identify potential risks and vulnerabilities in eCommerce platforms, develop mitigation strategies, and implement security measures to safeguard against threats and ensure regulatory compliance.
Continuous Improvement: Drive a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the eCommerce development team, encouraging experimentation, learning, and adaptation to evolving industry trends and customer preferences.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Proven experience (10+ years) in technical leadership roles, with a focus on eCommerce development and digital commerce platforms.
Extensive knowledge of eCommerce technologies, frameworks, and architectures, including but not limited to Magento, Shopify, WooCommerce, and custom-built solutions.
Strong proficiency in web development languages and frameworks such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React, Angular, and Node.js.
Demonstrated expertise in cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and microservices architecture.
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate cross-functional teams.
Solid understanding of Agile development methodologies and project management practices.
Proven track record of successfully delivering complex eCommerce projects on time and within budget.
Experience with performance optimization, scalability enhancement, and security best practices in eCommerce environments.
Preferred Qualifications:
Certification in eCommerce platforms or related technologies.
Experience working in fast-paced startup environments or high-growth eCommerce companies.
Familiarity with data analytics, machine learning, and AI-driven personalization in eCommerce.
Knowledge of international eCommerce regulations, standards, and payment gateways.
