Job Description
Credit Analyst
SUMMARY:
Under general supervision, the Credit Analyst is responsible for managing day-to-day execution of the company’s global credit processes including researching credit history, recommending acceptable credit lines, and analyzing credit risk for new and existing customers. The Credit Analyst will work to execute the company strategy utilizing world class credit management techniques to manage and control the company’s credit risk.
JOB DUTIES
•Responsible for the implementation, and delivery of strategies for the organization as it relates to customer credit management.
•Responsible for overseeing systems for the credit management function, including such activities as the collection of personal/business data for customer analysis.
•Oversees a high volume of work and reports on outstanding balances, makes timely credit decisions and evaluates customer credit limits based on risk.
•Maintains financial information, files, and records for the purpose of ensuring the availability of documentation and compliance with policies.
•Manages and monitors bankruptcy proceedings.
•Responsible for evaluating credit situations of varying complexity requiring basic or non-standard evaluation.
•Complies with all applicable laws and regulations in the credit approval process.
•Applies financial and credit risk analysis techniques and methodologies to evaluate the particular circumstances involved.
•Performs other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
Typically requires a bachelor's degree and two (2) years of related experience or an equivalent combination.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES
•Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Excel including, but not limited to V look up, pivot tables, charts, graphs and tables
•Excellent proficiency in databases and Microsoft Word
•Excellent communication skills
•Ability to manage multiple responsibilities and projects
•Professional and self-motivated with excellent interpersonal skills
