SUMMARY: Under general supervision, the Customer Service Representative II ensures customer expectations are accurately determined and are fully met. The Customer Service Representative II may provide guidance to less experienced Customer Service Representatives or may support specific customer(s).
JOB DUTIES:
· Responds to customer inquiries regarding products, provides quotes, and handles orders entry via telephone, email, or other electronic methods.
· Uses basic understanding of mechanical components such bearings, motors, sprockets, and chains, to research and recommend products to customers. Due to experience and training, may handle more challenging inquires.
· May adjust non-contract customer pricing to meet the demands of the customer, while maximizing the profit for Motion Industries.
· Determines the most cost effective shipping method for customer orders.
· Responsible for sourcing products from branch, distribution center or supplier inventory.
· Expedites priority orders, quotes and backorders as needed.
· Processes customer returns from start to finish.
· Supports and manages specific assigned customer(s).
· Orders items to ensure appropriate inventory levels are maintained for assigned customers.
· May perform warehouse functions such as operate forklift to unload trucks and move inventory; inspect and receive shipments for accuracy and damage; retrieve shipments from UPS; deliver orders using company vehicle; and pull inventory and prepare orders for shipment to customers.
· Performs other duties as assigned.
· Builds customer relationships to drive repeat business by relating to the customer and drive process improvements.
· Completes continual training to increase product knowledge and understand the product lines offered by Motion.
· Assists less experienced Customer Service Representatives with addressing customer needs, including locating items and resolving problems.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: Typically requires a high school diploma or GED and three (3) to five (5) years of related experience or an equivalent combination.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES:
Basic understanding of mechanical components in an industrial product line. Excellent communication skills including written, verbal, and listening. Ability to multi-task, problem solve, and time management skills required. Strong computer skills. Strong negotiation skills.
Reliability, organization, and attention to detail required.
