Transportation Analyst

Carrier selection and account manage
formance, cost and service on all truckloads managed through Genuine Parts Company Transportation & Logistics (GPCTL).

Responsibilities:
- Negotiate, secure, maintain and manage all outside carriers for all cross docks and subsidiaries
- Create and maintain carrier list and find new carriers as needed
- Intervene in carrier, customer or driver disputes to resolve issues quickly and facilitate a satisfactory resolution
- Manage Carrier relations including carrier reviews to ensure carriers are meeting specified pricing, quality and service level requirements
- Assign and book loads to RMDS or 3PL based on business needs and/or profits
- Create and maintain relationships with new and current customers to ensure customer satisfaction
- Audit and manage all invoices from carriers to enforce and support agree upon rates for all lanes
- Maintain data to supply needed analysis from Brokerage, revenue, cost and profitability
- Answer calls and transfer to appropriate internal persons when applicable
- Morning and evening update for pickup and delivery confirmation with carrier
- Perform other duties as assigned
Experience, Education, and Abilities:
- College degree preferred or equivalent work experience required
- 4 or more years of experience in logistics and/or transportation industry
- Effective problem-solving skills
- Effectivecommunication skills in English
- Ability to operate well under pressure
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
