Job Description

Position Mission:

This position will support the NAPA’s financial planning & analysis of supplier rebates across a variety range of supplier rebate programs.  This position will drive the effective tracking, reporting, and forecasting of “ASG” supplier rebates, National Ad, Sales Commissions and GAI rebate agreements and NAPA’s fill rate compliance program based on negotiated contractual agreements with suppliers. The rebate sr. analyst will help support procurement’s transformation to achieve world-class financial/supplier reporting by developing reporting efficiencies through internal IT systems, streamlined processes and enhanced insights in Power BI.

Position Performance Measures:

  • Effectively track/forecast Supplier Rebates and P&L impact based on supplier purchases, contractual agreements, and procurement initiatives. Forecast YOY P&L Rebate forecasts based on forecasted purchases.
  • Manage ASG (Balkamp/Rayloc) supplier Rebates.
  • Effectively forecast YOY P&L Rebate forecasts based on forecasted purchases.
  • Ability to calculate and align with suppliers on monthly purchases and fill rates. Partners with internal finance and category management teams to calculate impact.
  • Efficiently disburses internal reporting to external suppliers to expedite payment reconciliation process of supplier rebates and fill rate penalties.

Responsibilities:

The following section contains the primary responsibilities for this position.  Job holder is responsible for performing any other duties as assigned by management. 

Supplier Rebates:

  • Manage the tracking, reporting, and forecasting some of the US Automotive Group’s supplier Rebates as well as ASG supplier Rebates.
  • Consolidate legacy ASG subsidiary (Rayloc & Balkamp) rebate management process and tracking into one cohesive structure under the US Automotive’s Group.
  • Effectively manage rebates and accurately report forecasts/actuals to internal finance partners.

Order Fill Rate Penalties:

  • Actively manage Order Fill Rate penalties for suppliers aligned to standard contractual agreements and/or any special short-term agreement outlined by Category Management teams (Commercial and Consumer).
  • Build monthly reporting to effectively manage and communicate Supplier Order Fill Penalty impact across a wide range of categories within the US automotive Group.
  • Assist in the bi-monthly billing process with internal finance partners.
  • Support creation of new dashboard tools (through Qlik Sense & Power BI tools).

Experience, Education, and Abilities:

  • BS in Finance, Accounting or Analytics
  • 2-5 years of experience in an analytical role preferred.
  • Thrives in quantitative information – financial planning, analysis and forecasting experience.
  • Power BI experience.   And Qlik a Plus.
  • Advanced Excel User – highly proficient
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to analysis large data sets while ensuring a high level of accuracy.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills. Has ability to communicate effectively and appropriately with all internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to work effectively and independently and within a team environment.
  • Ability to organize, prioritize and take the lead on initiatives.
  • Prioritization and attention to detail is essential.
  • P&L management a plus.
  • Contracts Management a plus.


Physical Demands and Work Environment:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus.
