Senior Manager of Accounting

Job Summary

The Senior Manager of Accounting for Rebates is responsible for leading the rebate’s accounting team.  This includes processing monthly billings and payments, along with consolidating, summarizing, analyzing, and reporting rebates results. The ideal candidate will have strong understanding and knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and procedures to ensure accurate and timely financial statements. The Senior Manager of Accounting will exhibit strong leadership to drive the organization’s accounting function and improve financial performance.

Position Performance Measures:

  • Ensures all company financial reports are timely, accurate, and in compliance with GAAP, SOX, and GPC reporting requirements.
  • Proactively drives process improvements to procedures to improve efficiencies & effectiveness.
  • Proactively develops high performance team, appropriately addresses team performance, provides feedback, and ensures strategic goals and development plans are accomplished.

Responsibilities

  • Oversees company financial records are prepared in compliance with company policies and US GAAP.
  • Oversees monthly financial statements are accurate and complete. Analyzes variances and trends to report to senior leadership informational and actionable financial results.
  • Protects assets by establishing, monitoring, and enforcing internal controls including timely account reconciliations.
  • Collaborate with business partners in the organization and provide guidance on adherence to accounting policies and business transactions.
  • Guide financial decisions by establishing, monitoring, and enforcing accounting policies and procedures.
  • Proactively identify opportunities for process improvement and leads change to improve and streamline team efficiencies.
  • Proactively lead and develop high performance team through coaching, counseling, and proactive feedback appraisals.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of accounting leadership experience.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and MS office proficiency/Tech savvy
  • Strong communication and leadership skills to collaborate with multiple groups and serve as trusted business advisor.
  • Exemplary work ethic, decision-making ability and impeccable honesty and integrity.
  • Detail-oriented, results driven, and equally adept at providing leadership in fast-paced environment.
  • High level of intelligence and analytical thinking. Intellectually agile to be comfortable in participative problem-solving environments with executive and other senior functional management.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required.
