Position Purpose:
The Corporate Systems Team is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sr. Microsoft Office 365 engineer. This role is responsible for supporting the use of Office 365 tools to drive collaboration globally across the organization. The ideal candidate will be a strong problem-solver and have a background in PowerShell scripting, proficiency with Teams, SharePoint, Exchange, and technologies supporting the O365 ecosystem. This role requires an individual who can work independently, demonstrating strong verbal and written communication skills.
Responsibilities:
- Provide engineering and administrative support for (M365 Services, Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, MS Teams, Power Platform, etc.) and guidance to enhance collaboration and productivity.
- Provides troubleshooting expertise within the O365 ecosystem to ensure resolution in a timely manner.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- 2 years (5 preferred) of experience in managing and supporting Microsoft 365 environments.
- Expert knowledge of Microsoft 365 products and services, such as Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, OneDrive, Power Platform, etc.
- Experience in enterprise design and implementation of collaboration solutions using Microsoft 365 products and services,
such as Teams, SharePoint, Exchange, OneDrive, and Power Platform. - Experience in PowerShell scripting and automation. MS Graph is a plus.
- Experience in security and compliance of the Microsoft 365 environment.
- Previous experience performing Data migrations (Microsoft 365 tenant migrations, Google, Exchange, Teams, Onedrive, and Sharepoint. Consolidation and Identity Management.)
- Knowledge of Exchange Server 2016+ in an on prem hybrid configuration in conjunction with EOL across all object types. (Users, Shared Mailboxes, Groups, Dynamic configurations and queries, Contacts, Group Mailboxes, Teams, Mailbox Provisioning)
- Knowledge of Mail Routing, (Connectors, Scoping, Quarantine Reasons, and Remediations Client / Server).
- Working Knowledge of Messaging security mechanisms.
- Attention to detail and excellent troubleshooting and problem-resolution skills
- Knowledge of other complimentary collaboration applications such as: Quest, Poppulo, BitTitan MigrationWiz, ShareGate, Sendgrid / Twillio, SharePoint Framework development.
- Strong knowledge of IT Service Management and ITIL, preferably using Service Now – Incidents, Tasks, Problems, Knowledge, CMDB, Reporting, Dashboards. Proven track record to manage support and request tickets within SLAs, and drive Microsoft support cases to closure.
- Knowledge of Project Management, preferably using, Jira, and Confluence.
- Work cross functionally with different teams to support GPC mission objectives
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
