Position Purpose: 

Genuine Parts Company (GPC) is looking to hire a Manager, Product Data & Catalog to join our eComm & Digital Operations team. Complete, accurate Product Data is critical to the success of several functions, including Technology, Finance, Category Management, Merchandising, and Customer Experience. Working alongside key business functions, the Manager, Product Data & Catalog will key pieces of helping define and implement the future state of product data (definition, process, tools), to ensure that GPCs data is best-in-class.

The Manager, Product Data & Catalog will call on their expertise in master data management, data governance, and quality, to lead efforts to define what best-in-class data looks like, along with the needed governance and tools to manage and maintain this. They will translate these into goals and future state requirements, and then work with functional partners, like Product Management, Engineering, Suppliers and others, implement.

Job Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of Product Content Data Analyst, to help understand current opportunities in product data, governance, management and related areas. Bring expertise and lead the development of future state roadmap and requirements, that positions NAPA Product Data & Catalog, to be the best in the industry
  • Collaborate and work closely with existing Catalog operations teams, to see what’s working, what’s not. Understand best practices in industry, with a focus on the automotive industry. Leverage insights/learnings and expertise, to guide the cross-functional team of Product Management, Engineering, UX and others, to lead the transformation of the Product Data/Catalog
  • Work with product management, to establish a roadmap of improvements for the optimization of the product data into various GPC and external systems, including tooling that is supplier and internal partner-facing.
  • Define, implement, and maintain team OKRs, KPIs, data policies, standards, and processes to ensure data accuracy, completeness, and consistency.
  • Lead the growth and development of Data Analysts, via mentorship and coaching, as appropriate
  • Other duties as assigned

Location:

  • GPC has two work locations to choose from, Duluth or Atlanta office.
  • We offer a Flexible Work Policy that permits eligible employees to work a hybrid remote schedule.

Desired Qualifications & Experiences: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer information systems, computer science, data science, or a related field
  • 8 years of experience in data management or data governance; preferably in the Retail or Automotive space
  • Skilled in data platforms and processes including STIBO/STEP, BI reporting with PowerBI, Metadata Management, Data Governance, Master Data Management, and Data Catalog
  • Proven experience in data architecture, data quality management, and data process improvement
  • Ability to document, communicate, implement, and operationalize complex architectures and processes
  • Ability to both operate at a strategic level and dive deep into the complexity communicating your strategy to partners, product managers, engineers, and designers
  • Experience leading a team to consistently successful outcomes; skilled in prioritization, delegation, resource management and efficiency
  • Experience tying business strategy to data requirements, and developing organized execution plans
  • In-depth specialty area knowledge with a solid grasp of industry standards and practices
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and problem-solving skills
