Position Purpose:
The main role of the Lead Engineer in privileged access management is to help streamline and uphold our security programs. This dynamic position emphasizes PAM and involves cross-functional collaboration, necessitating close collaboration with Leadership and Architect team members to develop solutions, embrace new technologies, and tackle fresh challenges.
This engineering role enables IAM modernization, transformation, and execution for GPC’s unified IAM platforms.
This individual must be a technologist and engineer at heart. They must be comfortable enabling new technology and being hands-on with executing the strategy. They must exhibit a deep understanding of the modern technology stack and agile delivery models, demonstrate a focus on customer experience, and have a proven track record of modernizing technologies.
It is imperative to maintain close collaboration and alignment with business teams, application development teams, and security departments. Therefore, exceptional capabilities in establishing and sustaining robust working relationships, along with organizational acumen, are essential. Proficient communication and presentation skills are also required. Furthermore, the ability to attract, retain, and cultivate engineering talent will be of paramount importance.
Responsibilities:
- Maturity and discipline to follow established processes and detailed technical procedures to ensure consistency and predictability
- Demonstrated ability to work on virtual teams and must possess good interpersonal skills
- Assessing how secrets and privileged identities are utilized across the enterprise and developing strategies to detect, manage, and protect them using best practices, secrets management advanced technologies, and specialized services
- Solid Work Ethic and sense of ownership to complete assigned duties, tasks or projects
- Proven experience in implementing and resolving PAM-related challenges across technology platforms, including Windows, *NIX, and Oracle SQL.
- Managing and understanding of PAM Policies
- Designing and rolling out PAM policies and procedures
- Solid understanding of networking concepts and managing PAM in a highly secure environment
- Excellent Communication and Interpersonal Skills
- Other duties as assigned
Location:
- GPC has two work locations to choose from: Atlanta or Duluth, GA.
- We offer a Flexible Work Policy that permits eligible employees to work a hybrid remote schedule.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in network engineering, information security, computer science or related field or equivalent experience
- 4+ years of experience administering a global PAM implementation to include deployment, sustainment, and maintenance.
- Experience working with the company, client, and/or equivalent vendor-mandated methodology
- This position requires a deep understanding of secrets management and the ability to influence and guide the organization towards robust security practices
- Strong analysis and design skills
- Good communication skills
- Ability to manage competing priorities in a complex environment
- Ability to devise creative technical solutions
- Ability to convey a strong presence, professional image, and deal confidently with complex technical problems
