Job Description

Position Purpose:
The Lead Analyst-VMO Support will work with the VMO. The role includes oversight of VMO processes including the project intake process, status reporting and compliance with project delivery methodology. The Lead Analyst-VMO Support is responsible for data collection, analysis and reporting of project information within the GPC IT Shared Services VMO as well as administration and management of the Project & Portfolio Management system (PPM), Daptiv.
Responsibilities:
- Build strong and effective relationships with strategic technology vendors supporting Genuine Parts Company.
- Participate in negotiating a broad range of software and hardware contracts.
- Develop effective contract negotiation strategies to meet the needs of the technology organization.
- Manage the contract lifecycle or software and hardware contracts including tracking contract renewals.
- Leverage current spend to identify opportunities or cost reduction.
- Partner with stakeholders to validate utilization and demand.
- Conduct market research & benchmarking as needed.
- Partner with other members of the IT VMO to define and document processes.
- Act as a Team Lead within the VMO.

Location:
- GPC has two work locations to choose from, Duluth or Atlanta office.
- We offer a Flexible Work Policy that permits eligible employees to work a hybrid remote schedule.
Desired Qualifications & Experiences:
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Project Management, or related field
- Proven work experience as a project coordinator, data/BI analyst or similar role
- 2 years’ experience with BI, Analytics and reporting platforms, Cognos specifically a plus
- 2 years’ experience with PPM Platforms such as Daptiv, Clarity, Planview, etc. a plus
- Understanding of project management methodology
- 7+ years (preferred) of experience managing TEM, telecommunications and hardware contracts and leading negotiations, sourcing and/or procurement experience.
- Prior knowledge of complex contracts, licensing rights and terminology.
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize high priority contracts within a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent negotiation skills with a proven ability to provide cost savings.
- Highly motivated as an independent contributor with the ability to work well on a team supporting the IT Vendor Management.
- Enthusiasm about building strong internal and external relationships with key stakeholders and vendor partners.
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Skills:
- Prior experience with strategic sourcing tools preferred.
- Leadership experience is highly preferred.
