Position Purpose:

Seeking world-class talent to join the world’s leading distributor of automotive and industrial replacement parts and value-added services operating 5,500+ locations and servicing more than 20,000 locations in the U.S and Canada.  Working with a highly talented team, you'll play a key role to build and run one of the world’s largest automotive and industrial replacement parts operations.

This is an engineering role with responsibility for enabling modernization in the Order Management domain and execution for GPC’s vision of a unified order management platform.

The Software Engineer, Supply Chain OMS will be part of the team that supports NAPA Order Management applications across the United States.  The individual will take direction from the Manager, works with other Engineers, Senior Engineers, Product Managers to Develop, Configure, Test and Support the Systems as well as mentor other Engineers.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop software applications based on approved design.
  • Perform basic problem resolution analysis and correction.
  • Correct system problems as directed by Manager.
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time and according to specifications.
  • Use standard coding techniques to ensure application performance meets requirements.
  • Work as part of a team for most projects.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Location:

  • GPC has two work locations to choose from, Duluth or Atlanta office.
  • We offer a Flexible Work Policy that permits eligible employees to work a hybrid remote schedule.

Desired Qualifications & Experiences: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum 1 (2+ preferred) year of professional experience in Java development.
  • Hands-on coding experience in Java and Python.
  • Practical experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
  • Exposure to the supply chain domain.
  • Familiarity with Angular or similar frontend frameworks is advantageous.
  • Strong problem-solving capabilities and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Understanding of microservices architecture and RESTful APIs.
  • Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and Agile methodologies
