The Developmental Division Vice President (DVP) role is designed to prepare high-potential leaders for executive-level responsibilities. This role provides hands-on experience in overseeing multi-market operations, driving sales, and fostering talent development. The Developmental DVP will work closely with senior leadership to implement divisional strategies, develop future leaders, and contribute to the organization’s success while preparing for broader leadership opportunities within the company.
Responsibilities
Act as a key member of the divisional leadership team, gaining exposure to high-level decision making and strategic planning.
Partner with executive leaders to understand and contribute to company-wide priorities and cross-functional initiatives.
Participate in executive mentorship and development programs to prepare for expanded leadership role.
Oversee the operations and sales performance of multiple markets, ensuring alignment with divisional goals and company standards.
Collaborate with market directors to drive revenue growth, optimize store performance, and deliver exceptional customer experience.
Gain hands-on experience in analyzing sales trends, managing budgets, and implementing process improvements across markets.
Lead, coach, and mentor market directors and store leadership teams, building a pipeline of future leaders.
Support talent calibration and succession planning efforts, ensuring strong leadership at all levels of the division.
Foster an inclusive and performance-driven culture focused on collaboration, innovation, and employee development.
Contribute to the development and execution of divisional strategies, focusing on scalability, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
Partner with cross-functional teams to implement new initiatives, pilot programs, and operational enhancements.
Leverage market data to identify opportunities, solve challenges, and influence long term business strategy.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or related field.
Data Driven: Proven ability to analyze data, develop strategies, and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
Operational Excellence: Ensures consistent execution of operational standards to maximize store performance and efficiency.
Talent Leadership Development: Cultivates a high-performing workforce through coaching, development, and effective team leadership.
Customer Experience Focus: Champions initiatives that enhance the in-store customer experience and drives satisfaction.
Financial & Business Acumen: Manages budgets and operational metrics to achieve profitability and sustain growth.
Proficiency in operational tools, inventory management systems, and reporting software.
Preferred Qualifications
7+ years of progressive leadership experience in retail store operations or sales with multi-unit management experience

Physical Demands / Working Environment
Work conducted in office, retail stores, and customer site environments.
Frequent periods standing/walking in unairconditioned facilities and retail stores.
Exposed to vibrations and dust, with noise level at moderate to low decibels.
Must be able to lift twenty-five pounds at times.
Specific vision ability required by this job includes close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
Regularly required to use hands and fingers, and handle or feel objects.
Other physical tasks required include pushing, reaching, climbing, and stooping.
Local and air travel up to 50% - 75% of time to perform duties.
