Aircraft Maintenance Technician Major Responsibility Areas and Duties
- Launch and recover aircraft at home base. Performs Pre / Post flights with associated launch or recovery of aircraft at home base.
- Perform inspections, trouble shooting and repairs as necessary to maintain airworthy aircraft.
- Performs all work assigned in accordance with approved manufacturers maintenance procedures and FARS. Uses Electrical Schematics, Technical drawings, and Maintenance Manuals in performance of assigned duties.
- Records work performed in logbooks on Airframe, Engines and APU as required by FAA Airworthiness Regulations and assumes responsibility for that work as indicated by his/her signature.
- Updates CMP, CAMPS, and other Maintenance tracking computer programs records associated with Airframe, Engine and APU maintenance task. Clean exterior and interior of company Aircraft.
- Maintain aircraft GSE Equipment. Maintain aircraft maintenance consumables stock.
Aircraft Maintenance Technician Minimum Requirements and Qualifications
- Must hold a valid Airframe and Powerplant license. Must have high school diploma or higher.
- Must have a valid driver’s license. Must have experience with corporate jets. Prefer Gulfstream G280 But not required.
- Must have thorough working knowledge of all forms and documents required to support maintenance service, including, but not limited to Company policy and procedure manuals, FAR’s, AD’s, Service Bulletins, Maintenance Manuals, CMP, CAMPS, and other Maintenance tracking computer programs.
- Must be able to read and interpret technical manuals, instructions, electrical Schematics and diagrams.
- Must be efficient in the use and application of tools, gauges, instruments, etc. necessary for the accomplishment of maintenance duties assigned.
- Must be willing to work nights / weekends and travel when needed.
Additional Duties
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors, necessary for the normal day-to-day operation.
Physical Requirements and Environmental Conditions
- Able to sit, stand, bend, crouch, kneel, crawl and walk for extended periods.
- Able to climb and work from ladders, work stands, and other heights.
- Able to work in tight, awkward and confined spaces.
- Have correctable vision near and far vision.
- Able to hear at a conversational level.
- Able to lift 70 pounds. Must be able to handle and maintain control of parts and to properly operate hand tools.
- Able to work in changing climate conditions.
