The Product Marketing Coordinator is responsible for collaboratively developing and executing on brand/category marketing plans to drive sales growth for their brand/category. Additionally, the candidate will assist with managing other programs and initiatives to drive overall company sales growth. The ideal candidate must have the potential to work at the strategic level (generating innovative ideas for growth, developing marketing plans) and at the tactical level (designing & running campaigns, executing promotions, analyzing sales data). The ideal candidate will have a creative eye and experience with Adobe Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Brand/Category Marketing Planning: Collaboratively develop marketing plans for brand/category. Deliverables to include relevant dealer and consumer promotions, sales collateral (newsletters, flyers, web banners, social media scripts, emails) and corresponding internal and external communications.
Collaboration & Prioritization: Position involves close collaboration with category merchants and other product marketing team members, as well as an ability to work cross-functionally with multiple departments (pricing, MID, supply chain). As such, the candidate must be able to digest incoming requests and prioritize work according to the key strategic initiatives for the business.
Campaign Management: Manage execution of tactical elements of marketing programs, including promotions and CampaignAdvantage™ campaigns, from creation through final deliverables.
Vendor Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with vendors in order to create unique marketing outcomes, drive sales, and provide value opportunities for SPR and the vendor.
Analysis: Maintain a brand/category sales report which examines overall sales analytics each month. Responsible for sales analysis of promotions, campaigns, and other marketing initiatives.
Other Related Duties as Assigned: Participate in special projects as assigned, which may include new initiatives, peer development and process improvements.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or Business Administration. Possess up to 2 years of marketing and/or industry experience, preferably in the retail or commercial office products industry.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills required. Capable of effectively presenting a range of information to a variety of people. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, campaign details, press releases and/or email copy to headquarters personnel, field sales team, customers and general public.
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, margin and percentages.
Use intuition to make decisions with limited guidance or a standardized process. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables. Ability to organize, prioritize and manage projects.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) is required. Experience with Adobe Creative Suite strongly preferred. Working knowledge of digital marketing tools, such as email marketing and social media is desired.

The employee is occasionally required to lift up to 10 lbs. in managing equipment needed for training sessions. The vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision and ability to adjust focus.
This position requires up to 15% business travel.
