Summary: Research and prepare worksheets used in the collection and resolution of National Accounts. Customer account collections on smaller accounts. Assist Credit Manager and Assistant Credit Manager in related duties.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
♦ Research and prepare worksheets including disputed items, deductions, and skipped invoices. The worksheets will be used to resolve and collect past due items on customer accounts.
♦ Keeps record or file and sends letters or confers with customers having delinquent accounts to make payment. Includes assessing account processes to find areas to convert to paperless.
♦ Orders credit reports and credit information as requested.
♦ Provides invoice copies, proof of delivery, check copies, and other documents as requested.
♦ Maintains filing (or conversion of paper filing into paperless) for assigned territory.
♦ Provide backup for processing of electronic checks, new account processing, and legal accounts.
♦ Maintains working relationships with operating personnel of other departments, primarily for the purpose of giving and obtaining information and working jointly on customer problems.
♦ Supports Credit Manager and occasionally Assistant Credit Manager in handling overflow of emails and request from sales field.
♦ Cross train with other department credit assistants and administrative support staff.
♦ Prepares ad-hoc reports and updates as requested.

High School diploma and one year’s accounts receivable or credit department experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. College Degree preferred.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, and credit journals. Ability to write reports, business correspondence. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers and customers.
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, percentages.
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Required Minimum: Microsoft Office, Google Docs, Word processing, E-mail. Create and manipulate Excel Spreadsheets including vlookups and pivot tables.
Strongly preferred: Knowledge of PeopleSoft software., data warehouse reports, and Client Server based technology.
This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
