Store Manager
The Store Manager is accountable for people, customer service, profitable sales, commercial growth, inventory accuracy, safety, asset protection, and day-to-day execution.
This is not a title-only position. The manager must set standards, inspect results, address problems promptly, and step into the work when the business requires it, taking full ownership of store.
Primary Responsibilities
- Own store sales, gross profit, operating expense, labor, productivity, customer retention, and commercial growth performance.
- Build schedules and staffing plans that meet customer demand while controlling labor responsibly.
- Recruit, select, onboard, train, coach, evaluate, recognize, and when necessary discipline employees under company policy.
- Set daily and weekly priorities, assign ownership, inspect execution, and close unresolved issues.
- Maintain high standards for parts accuracy, customer communication, quote follow-up, delivery service, merchandising, and store condition.
- Protect inventory through disciplined receiving, stocking, transfers, returns, warranties, cores, cycle counts, physical inventory, and discrepancy research.
- Enforce cash, credit, pricing, discount, tax, security, key, vehicle, and asset-control procedures.
- Develop commercial and retail business with measurable account plans, outreach, and service improvement.
- Review operating reports and take timely action on margin erosion, lost sales, aging orders, shrink, overtime, customer complaints, and poor productivity.
- Maintain a safe workplace and ensure incidents, vehicle events, injuries, and hazards are reported and addressed.
- Build productive relationships with customers, vendors, distribution partners, company leadership, and other locations.
- Keep complete, accurate, and timely records; communicate material risks and needs before they become emergencies.

Qualifications
- Successful automotive parts, retail, distribution, commercial sales, or comparable store-management experience strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated responsibility for employees, sales, margin, inventory, expenses, customer service, and operational controls.
- Strong automotive parts, electronic catalog, point-of-sale, commercial account, and inventory knowledge.
- Proven ability to hire, develop, hold accountable, and retain a productive team.
- Ability to analyze financial and operating reports and translate them into specific actions.
- Strong judgment, integrity, communication, planning, delegation, and conflict-resolution skills.
- Schedule flexibility, dependable attendance, and availability to respond to urgent store needs are required.
- ASE Certifications are a plus!
