Automotive Service Technician

5th Gear Automotive is a dynamic and reputable automotive service center dedicated to providing top-notch maintenance and repair services. With a commitment to excellence, we are seeking a skilled and experienced Automotive Service Technician to join our team. We are looking for an ASE Certified Automotive Technician, or an Automotive Technician looking to obtain certification. We are looking for a candidate with strong inspection and repair ability and great attention to detail. Must be a team player and work well with others. You will diagnose, list repair recommendations, and complete repairs to specifications on most current makes and models of vehicles, both foreign and domestic. It is expected you will complete these tasks in a timely manner without shortcuts. We offer multiple training opportunities for those eager and willing to advance their skills as a professional automotive technician.

Responsibilities:

• Researching vehicles for service bulletins and repair information
• Explaining technical diagnoses and needed repairs
• Consistently taking the extra steps needed to achieve customer satisfaction
• Must work well with others as a team toward a common goal
• Must have drive and determination for continued growth and learning
• Must commit to continuously educate themselves through industry-recognized classes, seminars, and tests in order to keep up with changes in the industry and new vehicles

Qualifications:

• Previous experience as an automotive technician
• Knowledge of diagnostic and repair equipment
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
• Deadline and detail-oriented
• Organized, clean and professional
• Customer-focused attitude
• Must have own tools, and a valid driver's license
