SCOPE OF THE POSITION:

The Senior Developer Analyst, eCommerceis responsible for developing and implementing multi-tiered software solutions particularly using Oracle ATG e-commerce web-based enterprise applications using J2EE technologies like JSP, Servlets and Spring. Supports the development of business applications and solutions, responds to inquiries and resolves issues. Ensures high availability of applications and provide exceptional user support. This role requires the ability to analyze, solve problems, produce required documentation, participate in requirements gathering, and develop software utilizing Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodology.

Our eCommerce capabilities provide transactional solutions related to online sales and service; for both Direct-To-Consumer and Business-to-Business. Our eCommerce capabilities provide intranet and internet solutions focused on content presentment and transaction capabilities for both internal as well as customer facing purposes.

This position is located in Irondale, Alabama or Remote.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ability to handle multiple projects in a fast paced environment while maintaining superior customer service
  • Analyze current applications’ effectiveness and develop strategies for improvement
  • Gather and document business requirements and convert into functional specifications
  • Develop software solutions to meet customer needs
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders in the testing of new software or modified applications
  • Develop, Install and promote software solutions from the development to the production environment
  • Participate in systems maintenance and upgrades of existing enterprise applications
  • Perform problem identification, categorization, prioritization, diagnosis, and resolution
  • Provide daily technical support for business and integrated applications. This will include the daily support of business users as well as peers within the IT department
  • Operates with a continuous improvement mentality
  • Flexible and willing to work on various applications, solutions and projects
  • Ability to adjust working schedule when project demands or system issues arise
  • Adheres to software development policies and controls to ensure data accuracy, security, and legal and regulatory compliance

  • Oracle Commerce/ATG development experience required
  • Working knowledge of HTML5, CSS, Javascript framework and SQL/TSQL
  • Experience with databases such as MS SQL and Oracle
  • Experience with multi-tier architectures, including integration of web applications with legacy systems
  • Experience working with monitoring tools such as AppDynamics or DynaTrace or PRTG
  • Strong knowledge and experience working with web services in REST and SOAP (publishing or consuming);
  • Creating build scripts and managing CI/CD tools
  • Knowledge of Azure Cloud, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP) or AWS environments and SDKs
  • Development experience in Eclipse or Visual Studio based IDE tools
  • Understanding of source control practices using TFS or DevOps or GIT
  • Understanding of web frameworks such as React or Angular or GoLang

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related field
  • Experience with standard application development methodologies such as waterfall or agile methodology or safe methodology
  • Experience with application servers and database technologies
  • 6+ Years of experience in business applications development or comparable IT role
