Company Automotive Repair Description
Family owned and operated, full service, automotive repair shop, located near downtown Dallas for over 60 years. We are a very busy shop and our mechanics are payed on commission. Depending on the mechanic experience and abilities, they can earn an annual income ranging from $70000 - $120000 / year
We are open from 7:30-5:00 Monday-Friday. Closed for all major holidays. We provide a $10,000. life insurance policy. Paid Dental policy. We do not pay for health Insurance, but have access to a BCBS policy, which can be deducted from your weekly paycheck. We pay every Friday and have automatic deposit available.

Job Description for Mechanic:
- Duties include inspection, diagnoses, repair, and replacement of general parts and accessories for cars and light trucks
- Perform fluid exchanges, general inspections and maintenance, brake inspection, battery, and electronics work
- Perform a variety of other duties: replacing wiper blades, bulbs, performing test drives
- Focus on building customer relationships and their current and future needs
- Communicate vehicle problems and proposed solutions to customer and/or supervisor
- Keep a clean and safe working environment
Job Requirements:
- Conduct extensive diagnostic procedures to determine the sources of customers’ problems and provide accurate repair recommendations
- Perform all aspects of automotive maintenance and repair. Tasks including computer diagnostic procedures, engine repair, cooling system repair, emissions system repair
- Maintain a working knowledge of current industry best practices in automotive repair by attending schooling and seminars
- Conduct necessary repairs and take vehicles for test drives
- Maintain legible and accurate paperwork for both the customer and for our records
- Perform all aspects of automotive maintenance and repair. Tasks including computer diagnostic procedures, engine repair, cooling system repair, emissions system repair
- Clean and maintain the work environment to ensure equipment longevity and workplace safety
- Able to create estimates and advise customers of repairs/maintenance needed
Qualifications:
- Automotive repair experience in a professional shop environment is preferred
- Strong verbal communication skills
- Strong customer service skills
- Follow company procedures and protocol
- Knowledge of diagnostic tools and equipment
