Job Description

Mgr-Finance Business Process Improvement & Integration


The Manager of Finance Business Process Improvement (BPI) & Integration principal responsibilities include developing and leading continuous improvement activities within Motion’s Finance team, serving as primary liaison to Motion’s IT department for Finance strategic initiatives, leading the Finance integration of acquisitions and supporting system conversions, and maintaining and improving our internal SOX controls environment as part of a broader effort by Motion’s parent company (GPC). A strong candidate will have working experience with project management, business integrations, and internal controls.


  • Continuously challenge and drive process improvement within Motion Finance
  • Support internal and external audit processes, providing necessary documentation and insights (e.g., support development of annual SOX audit plan).
  • Lead acquisition integration into Motion Finance processes
  • Provide management with periodic status updates, feedback and reporting on key responsibilities and objectives.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., Finance / IT / Operations and Internal Audit) to design and document effective internal controls for finance business and IT processes.
  • Provide project management support and tracking of Finance IT project initiatives.
  • Represent Motion Finance in all acquisition system conversions.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of internal control processes to accurately reflect the control environment via ownership of the Risk Control Matrix (RCM) and control narratives.
  • Develop and manage remediation plans for identified control deficiencies.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.


Typically requires a bachelor’s degree in finance, Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field and at least five (5) years of experience with two (2) of those years in internal controls, SOX compliance, audit, or related field.

LICENSES & CERTIFICATIONS: Lean Six Sigma, CPA, or CIA highly preferred
