Retail/Merchandising Intern

Our 11-week summer internship program will be in person in Atlanta (some remote workdays available) and run from May 22, 2023 – August 4, 2023. We are looking for Retail/Merchandising Interns who will rotate through various teams within the Retail department while learning about a global distribution organization.
What’s in it for you:

- Attend a Braves game and volunteer time with fellow interns
- Explore the history of the company through a multi-day orientation, complete with a tour of the Atlanta Distribution Center
- Present your summer project to fellow interns and GPC executives
Responsibilities:
- Support the Manager of Space and Promo Analytics on all aspects of assigned projects.
- Acquire and synthesize data from various sources (e.g. sales, product, store, inventory, and customer) to create data models for analysis
- Analyze data to assist in answering key business questions related to the effectiveness of NAPA’s promotional programs
- Create visually appealing reports/presentations that provide business insight
Experience, Education, and Abilities:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and proven ability to organize complex processes.
- Ability to meet deadlines and manage schedules.
- Ability to utilize multiple databases.
- Demonstrated knowledge and skills using technical tools including Microsoft Office and a variety of other PC applications.
- Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills (including lookups, IF statements, pivot tables, and power queries)
- Interest in research design, quantitative and qualitative analysis, and data visualization
- Must work well independently and with a team.
