Position Purpose:
Seeking world-class talent to join the world’s leading distributor of automotive and industrial replacement parts and value-added services operating 5,500+ locations and servicing more than 20,000 locations in the U.S and Canada. Specifically, this role will function as the Product Manager of a newly formed team, to build the next generation Catalog platforms at GPC. Working with a highly talented team, you'll play a key role to build and run one of the world’s largest automotive and industrial replacement parts operations.

The Product Owner is responsible for assessing business needs and working with cross-functional product teams to find the fastest way to achieve value around those needs. The role focuses on delivering business value to drive sales, improve efficiency, and improve customer satisfaction through the production of quality products. Within their designated enterprise product line, Product Owners work closely with teams of developers, designers, and business partners.
This Product Owner role will be responsible for creation and enhancement of platform service products. The platform services include item, category, vehicle, location and product common services. The product owner will also orchestrate work addressing customer pain points across the GPC enterprise, and lead teams in the definition, discovery, design, development and delivery of end-to-end experience capabilities leveraging technology, operations, and process.
Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
Strategic
- Collaborate with engineering to Translate business strategy into technology product strategy
- Own product roadmap
- Maintain knowledge of competitive landscape and technology innovations
- Drives growth for the business by applying domain expertise to provide thought leadership and translate vision into action
Execution
- Defines and communicates value propositions, OKRs, success metrics, and outcomes.
- Develop deep knowledge of business processes for the domain
- Drive prioritization of product capabilities
- Collaborate and drive cross-domain prioritization and sequencing of activities
- Create/document/track KPIs to measure relevant business goals for the domain
Stakeholder Management
- Represent domain during enterprise planning and discovery
- Manage stakeholder expectations to ensure scoping, backlog and delivery aligns with product strategy
- Provide regular updates to product roadmap
Tactical
- Represent business throughout technology development process
- Document requirements (functional and non-functional) via epics, features and user stories
- Maintain and prioritize product backlog
- Track releases and communicate delivery roadmap
- Plan and conduct user showcases and acceptance testing
- Work with agile practitioners and engineering to improve the overall delivery lifecycle
- Other duties as assigned
Location:
- GPC has two work locations to choose from, Duluth or Atlanta office.

Desired Qualifications & Experiences:
- Degree in Computer Science or Engineering fields or equivalent years of experience preferred
- 3+ years of experience in product management, business analysis, program management or product marketing.
- 3+ years’ experience in scrum/agile development methodology.
- 3+ years’ experience participating in product backlog prioritization and grooming/refinement
- 3+ years of product ownership and helping drive road-mapping, planning and delivery in an agile environment.
- 3+ years’ experience designing data distribution processes and solutions for an Omni Channel Enterprise.
- 3+ years’ experience designing Data distribution solutions using Microservices and file feeds via any of the cloud platforms (preferably Google Cloud Platform)
- Experience in understanding and building product roadmap for item and vehicle domain services.
- Demonstrated experience with analytical and critical thinking skills; ability to use data to break down complex problems and formulate plans.
- Experience in identifying goals, metrics and analytics to measure product
- Experience in conducting user research and testing to understand needs
- Experience in conducting competitive research and analysis
- Experience supporting, mentoring and managing product owners is a plus
- Experience in the B2B and retail business is a plus
- Excellent oral and written communication
- Analytical and problem-solving skills
