Our NAPA Brand is known around the world for having KNOW HOW and now we are looking for a talent who has the KNOW HOW to drive operational excellence of a Distribution Center and serve as a NAPA Operations Manager!
As an Operations Manager, you will have the opportunity to lead an operation within a NAPA DC. You will be responsible for leading, developing, and engaging a team of DC talent with one of your main focuses on motivating, mentoring, and coaching your team. To achieve this, our Operations Managers are creative problem solvers who are able to deliver meaningful operational results that drive productivity and efficiency.
What you’ll be doing:
- Manage the daily operations and service level of the DC, including compliance with company, local, state, and federal policies and regulations.
- Execute plans designed to engage employees, energize owners, and create superior customer experiences.
- Lead and develop employees along with
- Implement effective processes and control measures while protecting corporate assets and championing strong customer service.
- Manage the evaluation, planning, and implementation of new, or modification to existing, systems, operations, and procedures.
- Initiate regular communication with General Manager on business issues, plans, and results.
- Achieve combined operation financial objectives and quotas.
- Maintain overall inventory and other physical assets. Manage effective use of resources for greatest return. Identifies and take action to resolve issues and leverage potential opportunities in the areas of inventory, AR, shipping, factory returns, and customer credits.
- Manage, reviews and interpret financial and operating information. Develop and prepare periodic and ad hoc financial/business reports. Analyze both short and long term trends.
- Lead continuous process improvement effort to achieve monthly sales, profit, turnover, and volume per employee goals.
- Manage document flow of JDEwards, prepare information for JDE entry, and communicate to team new information regarding processes and procedures.
- Provide periodic business results updates to all levels of the organization.
- Improve lines of communication with customers through store visits and telephone calls.
- Demonstrate a sense of urgency in assisting customers, answering their questions and responding to customer requests. Provides thorough and timely responses.
- Support the growth of sales through collaboration with sales team. Meet with new store prospects, vendors and suppliers to promote the operational excellence of the company.
- Work closely with new NAPA storeowners and District Managers to ensure operational success.
- Work with sales department to promote current sales promotions, telemarketing efforts, bringing in product, supporting sales various programs. Work with Factory Reps on sales program, credits, and performance.
- Coach, lead, and develop department heads to become stronger business managers and people leaders, preparing them to assume greater responsibility.

What you’ll need:
- HS Diploma or equivalent required. Bachelors degree preferred or comparable experience in a Service Manager or DC Manager role.
- Experience managing and improving operational P&L performance in the area of distribution management and logistics.
- Organizational skills, with the demonstrated ability to multi-task.
- Ability to make decisions using strong analytical and problem solving skills.
- Ability to use computer systems effectively to analyze and drive asset protection and business development.
- Ability to build teams, manage conflicts, develop personnel to assume higher levels of responsibility. The ability and willingness to delegate.
