Hose Assembly Technician
Apache, Inc. is a division of Motion Industries, and we currently have an opening in our Hose Assembly Department.
Set up and run machines and tools; read and interpret stock and customer orders; utilize knowledge of hose, ferrules, fittings, clamps, bend restrictors and end caps to assemble hose to suppliers’ and customers’ tolerances and specifications; run tests and ensure continuity and quality of product; wrap and label product appropriately; order paperwork; and fill orders as necessary.

Education and/or Experience
High School diploma or equivalent to accurately read and comprehend work order, safety and other business process instructions; perform basic math operations; and count accurately. Industrial manufacturing experience preferred.
Skills and Abilities:
Must be able to comply with safety rules and operating and maintenance instructions; utilize computer/scanning technology effectively; work at appropriate speed to fill customer orders within time expectations; operate equipment and hand tools; work well with others; pay attention to details; must have basic math and measuring skills, ability to stand throughout the shift, ability to set up and operate power tools and hand tools safely, and ability to understand layout diagrams.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee will work in heat during the summer, moderate noise from equipment and low level exposure to fumes from forklifts.
Must be able to lift heavy packages frequently up to 35 lbs. and occasionally lift or move up to 70 lbs. Standing or walking most of the day. Must be able to talk, hear, bend, kneel, climbing, and push and pull product. Requires close vision, distance vision, and peripheral vision. Frequently required to use hands with coordination and precision to reach; handle objects, tools, or controls.
