Asking questions is good, and smart – it’s how we learn. If you’re considering a career with GPC, maybe you have some questions of your own, about how things work, or what to expect. Here are some of the more common ones we’re asked:

After I review a job and hit APPLY, the next screen shows a wheel that keeps spinning. Is something wrong?
No, nothing is wrong; please be patient. Our systems just need a few moments to speak with each other behind the scenes to ensure that you have the best possible experience when applying.
I am having issues submitting my application (i.e. error messages, system unresponsive). Is there anything I can do?
To submit an application, we suggest you verify you are using a browser supported by our recruiting platform.
If you wish to submit an application, please use one of the browsers suggested below:
- Internet Explorer 8.0 and higher
If you are using one of the browsers listed above and still having issues, try viewing the website using your browser’s compatibility mode. This option is often found in the Tools menu of your web browser or in your address bar as a broken piece of paper.

Can I submit a resume for several jobs at the same time?
You can submit a resume for any number of positions for which you believe your experience is a match with the requirements specified.
How do I know I have successfully submitted my application?
You should be directed to a page labeled My Applications and receive a message that indicates you have successfully submitted your application.
When I try to submit my application, I get redirected to the careers home page. Was my application submitted?
Unfortunately, no. If this happens, your application was not entered into our system. Your application is not successfully submitted unless you receive a message indicating such.
Do not use the back arrow on your internet browser when filling out an application.
Using the back arrow causes your application entry process to be terminated. This will require you to reapply for the job for which you are submitting your application.
e-Recruitment seems slow. Is this an issue?
As with all internet based applications, the speed of page loads depends on varying factors. You will be able to submit your application even during a busy period, but you may find each page takes a little longer to load.
I no longer wish to receive email job alerts from Genuine Parts Company. How do I remove myself from this list?
